Softball Power Rankings

Power Rankings for 6/18/2009
  Rank Prev. Team
1 (1) Prairie Ridge
The Wolves made it all the way to the Barrington Supersectional where they lost to Fremd. Great season Prairie Ridge!
2 (3) Marengo
The Indians did not make it as far as they wanted to, losing in their own sectional in the semi-final game. This was still a very good team!
3 (4) Huntley
The Red Raiders lost to Hononegah in the Woodstock Sectional, which Prairie Ridge won. They also had a very good season.
4 (2) McHenry
The Warriors lost in extra innings to Prairie Ridge in a play-in game. The fact that they had to play in this game was a joke, and they would still probably still be playing if they would have been assigned a different regional.
5 (6) Crystal Lake South
The Gators had a nice win over Jacobs in the regional and then lost to Prairie Ridge in the final.
6 (7) Johnsburg
The Skyhawks beat Marian Central and then lost 1-0 to Antioch in 10 innings in the regional final.
7 (5) Jacobs
The Golden Eagles got knocked out of the playoffs by CL South in their first game ending a rather disappointing season.
8 (8) Cary-Grove
The Trojans did not have any luck in their first playoff game with McHenry beating them 7-6. This will be a much better team over the next couple of seasons.
9 (9) Woodstock
The Blue Streaks lost to DeKalb 1-0 to end their season in their first playoff game.
10 () Grayslake Central
The Rams snuck in the sectional by beating two average teams, but are there none the less. For them to come out of the Marengo Sectional would be a real accomplishment.
