Boys Basketball Power Rankings

Power Rankings for 3/6/2010
  Rank Prev. Team
1 (2) Johnsburg
Won by two points over Lakes to win a regional title, free-throws sealed it down the stretch.
2 (1) Grayslake Central
This was a very good team that checked out of the playoffs earlier than many thought they would.
3 (5) Marian Central
The Hurricanes won their first regional title in 33 years in overtime, despite shooting only 33 percent from the free-throw line.
4 (3) Cary-Grove
Without second best scorer on team due to injury they had plenty of trouble against a very athletic Streamwood team in the regional semifinal.
5 (4) Crystal Lake South
The Gators had a great start against Jefferson in the regional final game, but could not hold them off down the stretch.
6 (7) Jacobs
Certainly finished the season on a high note overall and should be ready to bounce back next season.
7 (8) Prairie Ridge
Hung tough with Marian Central in the regional final game and took them to OT, but just couldn't finish the upset.
8 (6) McHenry
Somewhat of a disappointing finish to the season for the Warriors.
9 (10) Richmond-Burton
Another victim of the slow start, the Rockets fell to Lakes in the regional semifinal.
10 () Huntley
Should be improved next season after a decent showing this year.
