Brian Wells pitched a seven-inning shutout for Richmond-Burton in a 10-0 win over Big Northern Conference East Division opponent North Boone.
Wells struck out eight batters and walked one. Joe Dittmar went 3 for 5 with four RBIs and teammate Jake Tieso went 3 for with four runs scored to lead the Rockets (2-1 overall, 1-0 BNC East).
Fremd 7, CL Central 2: At Crystal Lake, Matt Tegtmeier scored a run and Tanner Larkins had an RBI for the Tigers (2-4) in a nonconference loss.
Woodstock North 3, Belvidere 2: At Woodstock Drake Creighton had two of the three Woodstock North hits in the nonconference win. The Thunder (2-3) scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth to erase a 2-0 deficit. Jacob Schnulle had the game-winning two-run single.
Johnsburg 3, CL South 1: At Johnsburg, Jake Schyvinck went all seven innings and earned the win for Johnsburg in a Fox Valley Conference crossover. He allowed four hits and three walks. Mike Pritts and BJ Garcia each had an RBI in the win for the Skyhawks (3-4, 1-0 FVC Fox).
The Gators (3-2, 0-1 FVC Valley) were led by Casey Oliver, who went 2 for 3 with a triple.
Alden-Hebron 5, IMSA 1 (5 inn.): At Aurora, Cody Nelson went 2 for 3 with a double and two runs scored for Alden-Hebron in a Northeastern Athletic Conference win. The game went final after five innings because of darkness.
Alex O'Halleran (2-0) earned the win after pitching all five innings. He allowed four hits and one unearned run to go along with seven strikeouts to lead the Giants (4-3, 1-0).
McHenry 6, Harlem 4: At Machesney Park, McHenry (5-1) scored three runs in the top of the seventh to win the nonconference game. Robert Nagel had the game-winning RBI when he singled home Cody Freund. Brian Kennedy earned the win after going all seven innings and striking out seven.
Lake Zurich 7, Cary-Grove 2: At Cary, the Trojans (5-4) scattered five hits in the nonconference loss. Dean Christakes had a double and two walks.
Montini 9, Marian Central 1: At Lombard, Zach Hoijer went 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored, and teammate Pat McCabe added a double for the Hurricanes (0-3, 0-3) in the Suburban Christian Conference Blue Division loss.
South Elgin 4, Hampshire 1: At Hampshire, Alex Crinigan pitched all seven innings for Hampshire (2-4) but was hit with the loss. He struck out six in the nonconference game. Michael Kruse had the only RBI for the Whip-Purs.
Wauconda 14, Woodstock 2 (5 inn.): At Woodstock, Shea Carzoli and Amy Fischbach each had a hit for Woodstock in the nonconference loss.
Alden-Hebron 13, Faith 3 Christian (5 inn.): At Hebron, the Giants (1-4) picked up their first win of the season. Emily Cunningham pitched all five innings of the mercy-rule nonconference win. She allowed three hits and struck out 11. Hannah Behrens went 2 for 3 with a home run and four RBIs, and Emily Weber had a triple and two runs for A-H.
Marian Central 19, Aurora Christian 1 (5 inn.): At Aurora, Emily Miller went 4 for 5 with a double, four runs scored and three RBIs for the Hurricanes (4-3, 1-0) in an SCC Blue win. Grace Shukis pitched all five innings in the win and allowed two hits.
Palatine 5, Cary-Grove 2: At Palatine, Brianne Prank had the only RBI for Cary-Grove (1-2) in a nonconference loss, and teammate Lisa Semro went 2 for 4 with a stolen base and a run scored.
CL Central 9, Harvard 5: At Crystal Lake, Maddie Helm went 2 for 4 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored in the nonconference win for the Tigers (2-1). Teammate Rachel Kautz went 3 for 3 with three runs scored.
Katelynn Proffitt had a triple for Harvard (3-2).
McHenry 7, Grant 0: At Fox Lake, McHenry won six of the seven matches in straight sets. Colin Condon won at No. 1 singles and Matt Panek won at No. 2 for the Warriors (1-0). McHenry's Joe Greve lost the first set but battle back to win at No. 3 singles.
Huntley 6, Belvidere North 1: At Huntley, Josh Simons and Michael Zornow each won singles matches for the Red Raiders (1-1) in the win. Huntley's top doubles team of Matt Frederick and Jake Grabner led a doubles sweep with their 6-2, 6-0 win.
Woodstock 3, Belvidere 2: At Belvidere, Woodstock's Cole Richter won at No. 2 singles, defeating Nico Mead, 6-0, 6-1, to split the singles portion. Mason Sutter and Jack Fischbach won at No. 2 doubles, and the duo of Ryan Redemske and Armando Lara won at No. 3 for Woodstock (2-1)
Grayslake Central Triangular: At Grayslake, Woodstock won the meet with 81 points, and Grayslake Central was second with 73. Grayslake North (27) finished third. Woodstock won two of three relays in the win.
Dundee-Crown Triangular: At Carpentersville, Jacobs scored 66 points to take first place, and Dundee-Crown (55) narrowly edged Crystal Lake South (54) for second.
Jacobs won the 4x200 meter relay, and South won the other three relays.
D-C was led by Kayla Lawrence, who won the 100-meter hurdles (15.7) and the long jump. D-C's Emily Michalski also won the high jump with a height of 4 feet, 10 inches.
McHenry 104, Prairie Ridge 40: At Crystal Lake, McHenry won all four relay events in the win. Prairie Ridge won three events, as Samantha Fisher won the 200 in 29 seconds, and Alexis Strom took the pole vault and Abby Mann won the 800.
Schaumburg 6, Huntley 3: At Schaumburg, Nicholas Zielinski, Collin Fischer and Robert Koson each had third-quarter goals for Huntley in the loss. Goalie Callaghan Quinn made five saves for the Red Raiders.
Prairie Ridge 5, Belvidere North 1: At Belvidere, Wolves freshman Lexi Petersen scored the first goal of the match in the second half of the nonconference win for the Wolves (1-3). Megan Walsh and Erin Ginsberg each added two goals for Prairie Ridge, while goalkeeper Brooke Laibly made two saves in the win.
Hampshire 5, Belvidere 0: At Hampshire, junior midfielder Claudia Lazar scored three goals for Hampshire (1-0) in the nonconference win. The Whip-Purs led 3-0 at halftime and added another two goals in the second half.
Rockford Christian 3, Richmond-Burton 1: At Rockford, Chloe Becker scored a second-half goal for the Rockets in a BNC loss. Also for R-B (2-1, 1-1 BNC), Hannah Koenig made eight saves.

McHenry 15, Maine West 10: At Des Plaines, Matt Peck scored six goals and Brody Stafford made 16 saves and scored a goal to end the third period for the Warriors (5-6-1) in the win.
