The 6-foot-1 point guard played a crucial role as the Golden Eagles won the Class 4A Crystal Lake Central Regional championship, their first regional title since 2008.

Orange scored 14 points to lead the Eagles in their 43-33 victory Friday over Dundee-Crown for the regional title.

Orange had an even bigger game in Tuesday's 55-46 semifinal win against Prairie Ridge. Orange scored 11 of his game-high 25 points in the fourth quarter and hit 10 of 23 free throws for the game.

Jacobs (18-13) plays South Elgin (17-14) at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Class 4A Elgin Sectional.
