Roundup: Crystal Lake Central, Crystal Lake South undefeated in FVC divisions

The Crystal Lake Central girls volleyball team defeated Woodstock North, 25-12, 25-15, to complete an undefeated season in Fox Valley Conference Fox Division play Tuesday night.

The Tigers (31-3, 12-0 FVC Fox) were led by Krissy Pratt with eight kills and Kassi Dvoracek with six kills, nine digs and two aces for the match.

Natalie Ricca led the team with 16 assists and Lauren Leverenz and Maddy Cysewski each added five kills in the win.

Central will close out its regular season with an FVC crossover match against Crystal Lake South at home Thursday.

The Thunder (6-17, 2-10 FVC Fox) were led by Becca Molve, with four kills, and Alyssa Meyer with four digs and three aces. Casey Gavers added six digs in the loss.

CL South 2, Prairie Ridge 0: At Crystal Lake, the Gators (12-0 FVC Valley) completed an undefeated season in the FVC Valley Division without losing a set in the process. South defeated the Wolves, 25-15, 25-20. Carly Nolan led the Gators with 11 kills and 10 digs, and Avalon Nero added eight kills and nine digs in the win. Cassy Sivesind had 20 assists and Hannah Wilson contributed 10 digs.

Jacobs 2, Dundee-Crown 0: At Algonquin, Katie Mahoney had nine kills to lead the Golden Eagles to an FVC Valley win over the Chargers, 25-17, 25-22. Mackie Traub had 20 assists, six digs and three aces for Jacobs. Kyla Fitzsimmons had five kills and Kassie Kasper added 11 digs in the win.

Frankie Cavallaro, Breanna Novak, Kiana Mays and Ashley Raby all had five kills for the Chargers (13-16, 2-10) in the loss. Cavallaro added 16 assists and six digs for Dundee-Crown.

Huntley 2, McHenry 0: At McHenry, the Red Raiders (21-13, 7-5) defeated the Warriors in FVC Valley play, 25-11, 25-19. Erin Erb led Huntley with eight kills and Kelsey Dewulf added 19 assists. Eilish Reagan had eight digs and three aces and Rachel Shores led with 10 digs.

Grayslake Central 2, Woodstock 0: At Woodstock, the Blue Streaks lost in FVC Fox play, 25-11, 25-21. Megan Pautrat had six kills and Georgia Wicker added 23 digs for Woodstock. Marissa Krueger had 13 assists in the loss.

Johnsburg 2, Grayslake North 1: At Grayslake, the Skyhawks won in three sets in FVC Fox play, 22-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Richmond-Burton 2, Genoa-Kingston 0: At Genoa, Ali Frantti had 21 kills, 11 digs and three aces to lead the Rockets (21-13, 10-1) to the Big Northern Conference East Division victory, 25-16, 25-20. Kelsey Burlini had 23 assists and seven digs and Jenna Mazur added 12 digs in the win.

Burlington Central 2, Marengo 1: At Burlington, the Indians (12-17, 4-8 BNC East) lost in BNC East play, 25-18, 23-25, 25-15. Peyton Velasquez led Marengo with 12 kills and four blocks. Lyndsey Hoeske had four kills, four blocks and four aces and Charity Steffen added 16 digs in the loss.

Rockford Christian 2, Harvard 1: At Harvard, the Hornets fell in BNC East play, 20-25, 25-13, 25-13. Harvard was led by Sammy Genz with four kills. Katie Martin had seven digs and three aces, and Mallory Haak added three aces in the loss.
