
Hampshire rolls at Harlem tourneyMACHESNEY PARK – Hampshire’s girls basketball team made it look easy again Thursday. The Whip-Purs remained undefeated this season with a 71-20 victory against Rockford East to improve to 2-0 in pool play of the Harlem Holiday Invitational. Christina Heine led Hampshire (11-0) with 16 points, and Jessica VanDorin added 15 points on five three-pointers. WRESTLING CL Central 72, Woodstock North 9: At Crystal Lake, the Tigers (3-0) received pins from Ryan Lundelius at 103 pounds, Trevor Jauch at 125, Brandon Klemm at 171 and Austin Marsden at 189 in their Fox Valley Conference victory. Chris Wallace and Jesse Eames earned wins for the Thunder (1-8). Grayslake North 47, Johnsburg 26: At Grayslake, the Skyhawks gave up three forfeits to the Knights in an FVC loss. Justin Peete won by technical fall at 160 for Johnsburg, and Zach Hummel and Jake Huemann recorded pins.
