Roulo’s 44 leads PR past McHenry

McHENRY – Danielle Roulo shot a 9-over-par 44 on Monday to lead Prairie Ridge’s girls golf team to a 179-208 Fox Valley Conference victory against McHenry at Boone Creek.

Allison Holly, Kaitlyn Horgan and Robin Manarik all shot 45s to help the Wolves (4-1 overall, 2-0 FVC) to the victory.

The Warriors were led by Kaylee Ross’ 45. Also contributing for McHenry were Megan Feltes (50), Shae Hoffman (56) and Amber Pringle (57).

CL Central 192, Dundee-Crown 310: At Turnberry in Lakewood, Ashley Booth shot a 9-over 45 to take medalist honors and lead the Tigers (3-0, 1-0) to an FVC win. Katherine Hoelting shot a 71 to lead D-C.

Jacobs 227, Johnsburg 295: At Chapel Hill in McHenry, Maria Tamburrino shot a 14-over 49 to take medalist honors and lead the Golden Eagles to an FVC victory. Andrea Lindal shot a 68 to lead Johnsburg.

Hononegah 181, Huntley 210: At Pinecrest in Huntley, Holly Dryden shot an 11-over 47 to lead the Red Raiders in a non-conference loss.

St. Edward 191, Richmond-Burton 238: At Twin Lakes Country Club in Twin Lakes, Wis., the Rockets lost a non-conference match.

CL Central 2, Wauconda 0: At Crystal Lake, Amelia Anderson had nine kills, and Tara Weber added four to lead the Tigers
(1-0) in their season-opening, non-conference win.

GIRLS TENNIS

CL South 4, CL Central 3: At Crystal Lake, the Gators (2-0) were led by Rachel Boorom and Stephanie Brunetti’s win at No. 1 doubles in their FVC win against the Tigers. Central was led by Nelle Youel’s win at No. 1 singles.

Marengo 5, Woodstock North 0: At Woodstock, Bryanna Paradiso won at No. 1 singles to lead the Indians (4-4) in their non-conference victory against the Thunder (0-5).

McHenry 3, Hampshire 2: At McHenry, Emma Romme won at No. 1 singles to lead the Warriors (1-1) to a non-conference win. Kelsey Burke and Vanassa Patthana won at No. 1 doubles for the Whip-Purs.

Huntley 4, Grant 1: At Fox Lake, Lydia Jiang and Sam Chapman won at No. 1 doubles to help the Red Raiders (2-0) to a non-conference win against the Bulldogs.

Barrington 7, Prairie Ridge 0: At Barrington, the Wolves dropped a match in non-conference action to the Fillies.

BOYS SOCCER

Woodstock 3, Grayslake North 2: At Woodstock, Christian Harvey scored two goals to lead the Blue Streaks (2-6, 1-1) to an FVC Fox Division win.

Huntley 2, Sycamore 2: At Sycamore, the Red Raiders (1-1-1) were led by Lucas Baker’s goal and assist as they played Sycamore to a draw in non-conference action.

Dundee-Crown 1, Larkin 1: At Carpentersville, the Chargers and Royals played to a draw in their non-conference contest.

BOYS GOLF

Cary-Grove 151, Dundee-Crown 167: At Cary Country Club, Matt Efflandt shot a 3-under 34 in the Trojans’ FVC win. Alex Camp shot a 38 to lead D-C.

McHenry 163, Grayslake North 164: At Renwood in Grayslake, Willy Stastny shot a 2-over 38 to lead the Warriors in their FVC win.

Biltmore Invitational: At Biltmore in North Barrington, Robinson Logue shot a 6-over 78 to finish in ninth place and lead Prairie Ridge (328) to a sixth-place finish in the 12-team event. Riley Bauman led Crystal Lake Central with a 79, and the Tigers (327) finished in fifth. Barrington won with a score of 307, and Jordan Wetsch of St. Charles East shot a 1-under 71 to take the individual title.
